Okay so I wanted to post this a week ago, but I needed pictures. So yes it is true I flew in a plane all by myself it was so amazing and so scary at the same time.
So here is how it went down. It happened March 2
ND 2008. I had a little feeling that I might be able to go up by myself, but I didn't want to ask because I was scared and I was thinking it will happen when it happens. Helen (my flight instructor) and I go up oh and I had a
high school boy
job shadow in the back. I ask Helen where are we flying today and she is like oh lets practice some landings and takeoffs, so I am like okay you are the boss sure. So we do this a couple of times and then she tells me to go park the plane and I am thinking what we just started flying why does she want me to park it? She starts to give me a safety briefing and her and the
high school student get out of the plane. At this point I am like Oh My God it is happening this is some scary stuff. I did it though my first landing was really bad I came in taxing like a mad woman and I was like "oh damn maybe I can't do this." The second landing was really good Helen even said it was awesome she was like "whatever you did for the second one just keep doing it." I had to do a total of three takeoffs and landings to make it official and I did and it was awesome. I am so happy I love flying.
For all you non-pilots out there including me, my flight instructor keeps saying "well make a pilot out of you." I don't have my license yet, so please don't ask me to fly you anywhere because I can't and that would be scary. I am however able to fly by myself within 25 nautical miles of the airport. A little scary that I could possibly die
ahhh, you don't realize that until you look over and there is no one there.

Here I am after my solo flight, yep still alive.

On other news I started a new job, so I have missed a week of flying, but that is okay because hey I need money to fly. 2008 is my year and I ain't going to let anyone stop me for once I feel like I have some sort of direction in my life.
